About This Track
A neighborhood song for the west-end cove near Indian Beach, where everybody knows everybody else's dock, flags, grills, and boat lifts. It leans into the social fabric of the lake: wine moms, borrowed ice, paddle-boat commutes, and a shoreline that feels more like an extended porch than a subdivision.
Lyrics
Yeah yeah
Out here in our cool cove family
Down by Indian Beach on the west end bend
Every dock out here feels like a back porch friend
Boat lifts hum and the paddles go by
American flags and one French flag fly
Kids in life jackets floatin' all day
Paddle boat commutes two houses away
Somebody's grillin' somebody's got ice
Somebody's hollerin' y'all stay all night
We got a cool cove on a hot lake
Glass water even when the lake waves break
Little bit wild and a whole lot home
Best kind of place that you never outgrow
Wine moms laughin' grandmas grinnin
Summer rolls on and the whole thing's spinnin
Ain't the whole world but it's home to me
Out here in our cool cove family
Ladies at the Lake got that sauvignon glow
Makin' sure everybody knows who runs this cove
Redneck yacht club right down the way
Crazy damn locals put on a show every day
Clear Lake Olympics roll around each year
Whole neighborhood actin' like champions appear
Cannonballs coolers dockside pride
Everybody's in on the lakeside ride
We got a cool cove on a hot lake
Glass water even when the lake waves break
Little bit wild and a whole lot home
Best kind of place that you never outgrow
Wine moms laughin' grandmas grinnin
Summer rolls on and the whole thing's spinnin
Ain't the whole world but it's home to me
Out here in our cool cove family
You can keep your country clubs and gate code keys
We got borrowed ice and lake house breeze
Idle out to the buoy or grandma will yell
Everybody knows that sound a little too well
Cool cove
Hot lake
Cool cove
That's home
We got a cool cove on a hot lake
Glass water even when the lake waves break
All our people and the stories we save
Boat lifts hummin' through the long hot days
A little sunburn a little glory
A neighborhood full of the same old stories
Yeah it ain't the whole world but it's home to me
Out here in our cool cove family
